How to setup Yandex Mail to Outlook?

  1. Generate an app password from your Yandex account:
  • Log in to your Yandex account
  • Go to the Security tab in your account settings
  • Scroll down to the App passwords section and click on Generate
  • Select the type of app you want to generate the password for (in this case, select “Mail for desktop”)
  • Copy the generated password to your clipboard
  1. Add your Yandex Mail account to Outlook:
  • Open Outlook and go to File > Add Account
  • Enter your Yandex email address and click Connect
  • Select “Advanced options” and check the box for “Let me set up my account manually”
  • Select “IMAP” as the account type
  • Enter the following information:
    • Incoming mail server: imap.yandex.com
    • Outgoing mail server: smtp.yandex.com
    • Username: your Yandex email address
    • Password: paste the app password you generated earlier
  • Click Connect

Outlook will then verify your settings and connect to your Yandex Mail account. Once connected, you will be able to send and receive emails using Outlook with your Yandex account.
